জলের পাইপলাইন ফেটে যাওয়ার জেরে কয়েক লক্ষ টন জল নষ্ট হয়েছে। যা ভয় ধরাচ্ছে বৃহন্মুম্বাই মিউনিসিপ্যাল কর্পোরেশনকে।
Pipeline Burst in Mumbai: জলের পাইপলাইন ফেটে ফোয়ারার আকারে প্রবল স্রোতের গতিতে বেরিয়ে আসছে জল। এমন দৃশ্য দেখে তো তাজ্জব নেটবাসী। মঙ্গলবার মুম্বইয়ের (Mumbai) বান্দ্রা (Bandra) এলাকায় আচমকাই ওই বিশাল পাইপলাইনটি ফেটে যায়। পাইপের ফাটা অংশ থেকে প্রবল গতির জলের ফোয়ারা প্রায় ৫০ ফুট উঁচুতে ওঠে। বাণিজ্য নগরীর বুকে এমন দৃশ্য খানিক দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করেছে স্থানীয়দের। ফোয়ারার আকারে পড়তে থাকা জল উপভোগ করছেন কিছু মানুষ। তবে জলের পাইপলাইন (Pipeline) ফেটে যাওয়ার জেরে কয়েক লক্ষ টন জল নষ্ট হয়েছে। যা ভয় ধরাচ্ছে বৃহন্মুম্বাই মিউনিসিপ্যাল কর্পোরেশনকে। এই বিপুল পরিমাণে জলের অপচয় আগামী দিনে মুম্বইবাসীকে জলকষ্টের মুখে দাঁড় করাবে বলেই আশঙ্কা করছে বিএমসি (BMC)।
