দেশীয় প্রযুক্তিতে তৈরি করা আগ্রার ডিআরডিও (DRDO)-র এরিয়াল ডেলিভারি রিসার্চ অ্যান্ড ডেভেলপমেন্ট এস্টাব্লিশমেন্টের (ADRDE) সার্চ অ্যান্ড রেসকিউ কিট (Search and Rescue Kit)-কে পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে সমুদ্রে ফেলার চেষ্টা সফল হল। ৭৭তম স্বাধীনতা দিবসের দিন আইএনএস হংসের (INS Hansa) প্রাক্তন আইএনএএস ৩১৬ বেসে এটি পি-৮১ বিমান থেকে ফেলা হয়। এই সফলতাকে আত্মনির্ভর (Aatma Nirbhar Bharat) ভারতের দিকে যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে ভারতীয় নৌ সেনার ওয়েস্টার্ন নেভাল কমান্ডের (Western Naval Command, Indian Navy) তরফে।
