সকাল সকাল মুম্বইয়ের একটি ভোট কেন্দ্রে ভোট দিলেন প্রাক্তন ক্রিকেটার সচিন তেন্ডুলকর। তিনি সকলকে ভোটদানের আর্জি জানান। ভোটদানের সময় তাঁর সঙ্গে স্ত্রী অঞ্জলি তেন্ডুলকর, মেয়ে সারা তেন্ডুলকর ও ছিলেন।

ভোট দেওয়ার পরে, প্রাক্তন ভারতীয় ক্রিকেটার শচীন তেন্ডুলকার বলেন, "আমি বেশ কিছুদিন ধরে ভারতের নির্বাচন কমিশনের আইকন ছিলাম। আমি যে বার্তা দিচ্ছি তা হল ভোট দিন। এটাই আমাদের দায়িত্ব। আমি সবাইকে অনুরোধ করছি বাইরে বেড়িয়ে আসুন এবং ভোট দিন।"
