ইন্ডিয়ান সুপার লিগ (Indian Super League) পায়ে পায়ে পেরিয়ে এসেছে ১০ বছর। ২০২৩ এর দশম সংস্করণে তাঁদের স্লোগান - ১০ বছর, ১১ শহর, ১২ দল! কিন্তু এই ১২ নং দলটি কে হতে চলেছে সেই নিয়ে ধোয়াশা রেখেছিল আই এস এল কমিটি। দীর্ঘ এক মাসেরও বেশি সময় ধরে চলা জল্পনার অবশেষে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় আনুষ্ঠানিক ভাবে তার ঘোষণা করা হল।আইএসএলে নতুন দল হিসেবে আত্মপ্রকাশ করল পঞ্জাব এফসি (Punjab FC)। ২০২২-২৩ মরসুমে আই-লিগ (I-League 2022-23) জেতার সুবাদে ও অনান্য যোগ্যতার মানদণ্ড পেরিয়ে এই সুযোগ অর্জন করল তারা।
