৫১ ঘন্টা পর শুরু হল ট্রেন চলাচল। ওড়িশার বালেশ্বরের বাহানগায় ভয়াবহ ট্রেন দুর্ঘটনার পর নতুন করে ট্রেন চলাচল শুরু হল ট্র্যাকে।রবিবার রাত ১০.৪০ নাগাদ প্রথম ট্রেন চলাচল শুরু হয়।
প্রথমে ট্র্যাকটিতে মালগাড়ি চালানো হয়। মালগাড়িটি কয়লা নিয়ে ভাইজাগ থেকে রৌরকেল্লার দিকে যাচ্ছিল।রেলমন্ত্রী অশ্বিনী চৌবের তত্বাবধানে মালগাড়িটি যাত্রা শুরু করে।এর পর প্যাসেঞ্জার ট্রেনও চালানো হয় ওই ট্র্যাকে।
ভয়াবহ এই দুর্ঘটনার কারণ খুঁজতে রেলবোর্ডের তরফে সিবিআই তদন্তের সুপারিশ করেছে। দুর্ঘটনার জেরে নিহত হওয়া প্রায় ২০০ জনের দেহ এখনও সনাক্ত করা যায়নি।
