২০২১ এর সেপ্টেম্বরে ভারতীয় বায়ুসেনার নতুন প্রধান হিসাবে দায়িত্বভার নিয়েছিলেন এয়ার মার্শাল বিক্রম রাম চৌধুরী (VR Chaudhari)। দায়িত্বভার গ্রহণ করার পর থেকেই বিদেশি যুদ্ধবিমান (Fighter Jet) এর বদলে দেশীয় প্রযুক্তিতে তৈরি তেজস (Tejas) ও অ্যামকা-র (AMCA) উপর ভরসা রাখার কথা বারবার বলেছেন তিনি। এবার সরাসরি তেজস (Tejas) চালাতে দেখা গেল ভারতীয় বিমান বাহিনীর প্রধান এয়ার চিফ মার্শাল ভিআর চৌধুরীকে। কর্ণাটকের বেঙ্গালুরুতে তেজস যুদ্ধবিমানের মহড়াতে অংশগ্রহণ করলেন তিনি ।
