ভারত (India) ও চিনের (China) মধ্যে বিবাদ আলোচনার মাধ্যমেই মেটানোর পরামর্শ দিলেন তিব্বতের আধ্যাত্মিক নেতা দলাই লামা (Dalai Lama)। দু'দিনের সফরে কাশ্মীর ও লাদাখ এসেছেন। শুক্রবার জম্মু থেকে লে রওনা দেন তিনি। বেরনোর সময় সাংবাদিকরা তাঁকে লাদাখে চিনের সম্প্রসারণবাদী নীতি নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করেন। জবাবে দলাই লামা বলেন, ভারত ও চিন, দুই জনবসতিপূর্ণ প্রতিবেশীর উচিত আলোচনা এবং শান্তিপূর্ণ উপায়ের মাধ্যমে এই সমস্যার সমাধান করা। সামরিক শক্তির ব্যবহার সেকেলে।"
