Deve Gowda: ছেলে কুমারস্বামী ভর্তি হাসপাতালে, দলকে জেতাতে পুরোদমে প্রচারে ৮৯ বছরের দেবেগৌড়া

নির্বাচনী প্রচারের মাঝে প্রবল জ্বরের কারণে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করতে হয়েছে জনতা দল সেকুলারের শীর্ষ নেতা কুমারস্বামীকে। ছেলের অনুপস্থিতিতে আসন্ন কর্ণাটক বিধানসভা নির্বাচন জেডি(এস)-য়ের প্রচারের সব দায়িত্ব নিজের কাঁধেই তুলে নিলেন ভারতের প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী এইচডি দেবেগৌড়া। তাঁর বয়স এখন ৮৯। বার্ধক্য জনিত নানা সমস্যায় ভুগছেন তিনি। ডাক্তাররা একেবারেই পরিশ্রম করতে নিষেধ করেছেন। কিন্তু সে সব কথা না শুনেই রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় দলীয় প্রার্থীদের জেতাতে জনসভা করছেন দেবেগৌড়া।

জনতা দল থেকে বেরিয়ে এসে ১৯৯৯ সালে জেডি (এস) প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন দেবেগৌড়া। বিজেপি-কংগ্রেসের সঙ্গে সম দূরত্ব রেখে একাই এবার কর্ণাটকে লড়ছে জেডি (এস)। কর্ণাটকে এক দফায় বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে ১০ মে।
