উত্তর প্রদেশ (Uttar Pradesh) এর গাজিয়াবাদের সাহিবাবাদ অঞ্চলের শান পেপারস কারখানায় (Shan Papers factory) ভোররাতে আহুন লাগে। দাহ্য বস্তু থাকায় খুব সহজেই আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। সূত্রের খবর ভয়াবহ এই অগ্নিকাণ্ডে লক্ষ লক্ষ টাকার জিনিসপত্র পুড়ে গেছে। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে আসে দমকলের আঠারোটি ইঞ্জিন। আগুনের ছড়িয়ে পড়া আটকাতে দমকল বিভাগের সব কটি ইঞ্জিন আগুন নেভানোর এবং আরও ক্ষয়ক্ষতি রোধ করার জন্য আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করছে।
