মহারাষ্ট্রের মুম্বাইয়ের ক্রফোর্ড মার্কেটে (Crawford Market of Mumbai) একটি বাটার জুতোর শোরুমে মাঝরাতে ভয়াবহ আগুন লাগে। খবর পেয়েই ঘটনাস্থলে একাধিক দমকলের ইঞ্জিন উপস্থিত হয়, রাত থেকেই আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণের চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে দমকলের একাধিক ইঞ্জিন। ভোরের দিকে সেই আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসে। লক্ষাধিক টাকার সম্পত্তি নষ্ট হলেও কোনও প্রাণহানির খবর পাওয়া যায় নি।

ডিএফও সন্তোষ সাওয়ান্ত বলেন, "বাটার একটি দোতলা শোরুমে আগুন লেগেছে... জুতার পুরো স্টক, বৈদ্যুতিক তার এবং তার এবং ফলস সিলিং সব পুড়ে গেছে। আমরা এখন আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে এনেছি... কেউ আহত হয়নি। আগুন লাগার কারণ এখনও তদন্তাধীন... প্রায় ছয়টি দমকলের ইঞ্জিন... এবং আটটি জলের ট্যাঙ্কার এখানে উপস্থিত রয়েছে..."
