দেশজুড়ে ক্রমশ বাড়ছে গমের দাম। এর ফলে আর রেশনেও দেওয়া হচ্ছে না। এই পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার গমের আমদানি শুল্ক কমানোর কথা বিবেচনা করার বিষয়ে ইঙ্গিত দিল।

এপ্রসঙ্গে ফুড কর্পোরেশন অফ ইন্ডিয়ার চেয়ারম্যান অশোক মীনা সাংবাদিকদের জানান, গমের দাম কমানোর বিষয়ে বেশ কয়েকটি উপায় রয়েছে। তবে যদি প্রয়োজন পড়ে তাহলে গমের আমদানি শুল্কও কমানো যেতে পারে।
