সাংবাদিকদের সঙ্গে মুখোমুখি হয়ে ন্যাশানাল কনফারেন্স নেতা বলেন- “আসন ভাগাভাগি নিয়ে বলতে চাই, ন্যাশনাল কনফারেন্স এককভাবেই প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করবে। এই বিষয়ে কোনও সন্দেহ নেই। আমরা নিজেদের শক্তিতেই লড়তে চাই।
জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরে ধাক্কা খেল ইন্ডিয়া জোট। সম্প্রতি ফারুক আবদুল্লা জানিয়েছেন, লোকসভা নির্বাচনে তাঁর দল এককভাবে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করবে। এমনকি জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের অপর দল পিডিপির সঙ্গেও জোট বাঁধার সম্ভাবনা নেই ন্যাশনাল কনফারেন্স দলের। তবে কি এন ডি এ -র দরজা খোলা রাখতেই তাঁর এই সিদ্ধান্ত? সাংবাদিকদের সঙ্গে মুখোমুখি হয়ে ন্যাশানাল কনফারেন্স নেতা বলেন- “আসন ভাগাভাগি নিয়ে বলতে চাই, ন্যাশনাল কনফারেন্স এককভাবেই প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করবে। এই বিষয়ে কোনও সন্দেহ নেই। আমরা নিজেদের শক্তিতেই লড়তে চাই। কোনও রাজনৈতিক দলের সঙ্গেই জোট করতে চাই না। ভবিষ্যতে এনডিএ-তেও যোগ দিতে পারি, সেই সম্ভাবনাও উড়িয়ে দিচ্ছি না।”
