Cyclone Dana in Odisha: ডানার দাপটে প্রবল বৃষ্টি, জলপ্রপাতের জলে ভেসে যাচ্ছে নীলগিরির পঞ্চলিঙ্গেশ্বর মন্দির
দুর্যোগ আসার আগে থেকেই ওড়িশার বিভিন্ন পর্যটন কেন্দ্র পর্যটকশূন্য করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মোহন চরণ মাঝি।
বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে ঘূর্ণিঝড় ডানা আছড়ে পড়েছে ওড়িশা এবং পশ্চিমবঙ্গের উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে। ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের দাপটে লণ্ডভণ্ড অবস্থা উপকূলবর্তী এলাকার। ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের প্রভাবে দুই রাজ্যের বিস্তীর্ণ এলালায় জুড়ে ভারী থেকে অতি ভারী বৃষ্টি হয়ে চলেছে। ওড়িশার বালাসোরের নীলগিরিতে প্রবল জলের তোড়ে ভেসে যাচ্ছে পঞ্চলিঙ্গেশ্বর মন্দির। নিকটবর্তী জলপ্রপাত থেকে প্রবল জলের প্রবাহে ডুবে গিয়েছে আস্ত মন্দির। দুর্যোগ আসার আগে থেকেই ওড়িশার বিভিন্ন পর্যটন কেন্দ্র পর্যটকশূন্য করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মোহন চরণ মাঝি (Mohan Charan Majhi)। সেই নির্দেশ মতই নীলগিরিতে পঞ্চলিঙ্গেশ্বর মন্দির আগামী তিন দিন জনসাধারণের জন্যে বন্ধ রাখা হয়েছে।
