Mumbai Local Train: লাইনের কাজে বাতিল আড়াই হাজার ট্রেন, আন্ধেরী স্টেশনে যাত্রীদের সুনামি

মুম্বই লোকাল গোটা দুনিয়ায় পরিচিত রেকর্ড ভিড়ের জন্য। গণেশ পুজোর পর দশেরা। ছুটি সেরে জোরকদমে কাজে ফিরেছেন মুম্বইকর-রা। তারই মধ্যে আবার খার থেকে গোরেগাঁও স্টেশনের মধ্য ৯ কিলোমিটার অতিরিক্ত ষষ্ঠ লাইন বসানোর কাজ চলছে।
আর পরিকাঠামোগত কারণে আজ, শুক্রবার থেকে আগামী রবিবার পর্যন্ত এই লাইনে চলাচলকারী আড়াই হাজারেরও বেশী ট্রেন বাতিল করা হয়েছে। আর এই কারণে সাধারণ মানুষরা চরম ভোগান্তিতে। শুক্রবার সকাল থেকে আন্ধেরী স্টেশনে নিত্যযাত্রীদের ভিড়ের সুনামি দেখা গেল। ভিড়ের চাপে পুলিশ, নিরপাত্তরক্ষীদের অসহায় দেখাল।
লোকাল ট্রেনকে বলা হয় মুম্বইয়ের লাইফলাইন। গোটা শহরের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা কার্যত ট্রেনের ওপরেই দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। মুম্বই মেট্রো, মনোরেলে সেভাবে ভিড় হয় না।
