হরিয়ানাতে হুক্কা ব্যবহারে নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করল মনোহর লাল খট্টারের প্রশাসন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশে হোটেল, রেস্তোঁরা, বারে হুক্কার পরিবেশন নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে। যদিও এই আইনে গ্রামে ব্যবহত পুরনো হুক্কার ক্ষেত্রে ছাড় দেওয়া হয়েছে।
শুধু হরিয়ানাতেই নয় দেশের বিভিন্ন জায়গা যেমন কর্ণাটক এবং কলকাতাতেও এর আগে হুক্কার ব্যবহার বন্ধ করা হয়েছে প্রশাসনের তরফে।
