Assam: মুসলিম বিবাহে বড়সড় পরিবর্তন, বাল্যবিবাহকে অবৈধ ঘোষণা রাজ্য সরকারের
মুসলিম বিবাহ নিয়ে বড়সড় পরিবর্তন আনল অসম সরকার। জানা যাচ্ছে, এবার থেকে এই রাজ্যে বিবাহের রেজিস্ট্রেশন কাজীর মাধ্যমে নয়, বরং সরকারের মাধ্যমে করতে হবে।
অর্থাৎ আগামীদিনে কোনও মুসলিম পরিবার যদি বিয়ে করতে চায় তাহলে সরকারি ম্যারেজ রেজিস্টারদের মাধ্যমে তা করতে হবে। সেই সঙ্গে এই রাজ্যে আজ থেকে মুসলিম সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে বাল্যবিবাহকে অবৈধ ঘোষণা করা হল। বুধবার অসম মন্ত্রিসভা মুসলিম বিবাহ নিবন্ধন বিল ২০২৪ পাশ করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মা (CM Himanta Biswa Sarma)।
