আবগারি দুর্নীতি মামলায় (Excise Policy Case) জেলবন্দি আপ নেতা সঞ্জয় সিং (Sanjay Singh)। তারমধ্যে রাজ্যসভার সাংসদ পদের জন্য বিনা প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতায় জিতেছেন তিনি। তবে শপথগ্রহণ নিয়ে মাঝে টালবাহানা চলছিল। কিন্তু দিল্লি আদালতের নির্দেশে মঙ্গলবার তিহার জেল কর্তৃপক্ষ তাঁকে নিয়ে আসে সংসদ ভবনে। উপ-রাষ্ট্রপতি জগদীপ ধনখড়ের উপস্থিতিতে শপথবাক্য পাঠ করে দ্বিতীয়বারের জন্য রাজ্যসভার সাংসদ হলেন সঞ্জয় সিং। এদিন পর্যাপ্ত নিরাপত্তা দিয়ে তাঁকে সংসদে আনা হয় এবং শপথ নেওয়ার পর তাঁকে ফের পাঠানো হয় জেলে।
