Jammu and Kashmir: তীব্র দাবদাহ থেকে পথে থাকা জীবজন্তুদের স্বস্তি দিতে জলের ব্যবস্থা করল স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন
দেশজুড়ে তাপমাত্র ক্রমশ উধ্বমুখী। মানুষরা তবুও যেখানে যাচ্ছে জলের বোতল, রুমাল বা ছাতা নিয়ে বেরোচ্ছে। কিন্তু অবলা পথ জীবদের (Stray Animals) অবস্থা তো একদমই করুণ। তৃষ্ণা মেটাতে সবসময়ই তারা নোংরা, অপরিচ্ছন্ন জল খায়। কিন্তু এবারে জম্মুতে একটানা গরম পড়ায় একাধিক জলাশয় শুকিয়ে গিয়েছে। বর্তমানে এখানে তাপমাত্রা ৪২ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস ছাড়িয়েছে। তারফলে জলে অভাবে সমস্যায় পড়েছে পড়েছে পথে থাকা জীবজন্তুরা। সেই কারণে তাদের কথা ভেবে একটি স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন ৭০টি ওয়াটার টিউবের মাধ্যমে জম্মুর কালিবাড়ি থেকে হাতলি মোড় পর্যন্ত জলে ব্যবস্থা করেছে। এর ফলে উপকৃত হয়েছে একাধিক পথ কুকুর, বিড়ালসহ জীবজন্তুরা।
