১৫টি লাইট কমব্যাট হেলিকপ্টার (Light Combat Helicopter) কেনায় অনুমোদন দিল নিরাপত্তা সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটি (Cabinet Committee on Security)। এই কমিটি প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর নেতৃত্বাধীন। ১৫টি লাইট কমব্যাট হেলিকপ্টার কিনতে খরচ হবে ৩ হাজার ৮৮৭ কোটি টাকা। এছাড়াও পরিকাঠামো নির্মাণে খরচ হবে ৩৭৭ কোটি টাকা। লাইট কমব্যাট হেলিকপ্টারের ডিজাইন, উন্নয়ন ও তৈরি করেছে ভারতের হিন্দুস্তান অ্যারোনটিক্স লিমিটেড বা হ্যাল।
