এই প্রথম সরকারি সফরে আমেরিকা গেছেন ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি (PM Narendra Modi)। তিনি হোয়াইট হাউসে (White House) যাওয়ার পর সেখানে তাঁকে আন্তরিকভাবে স্বাগত (welcome ) জানালেন আমেরিকার রাষ্ট্রপতি জো বাইডেন (US President Joe Biden) ও তাঁর স্ত্রী মার্কিন ফার্স্ট লেডি ডাঃ জিল বাইডেন (First Lady Dr Jill Biden)।
