দিল্লির আইএমডি অধিকর্তা কুলদীপ শ্রীবাস্তব  জানিয়েছেন পরবর্তী ৭ দিনের জন্য উত্তর-পশ্চিম ভারতে কোনও তাপপ্রবাহের সম্ভাবনা নেই, তবে আবহাওয়ার পূর্বাভাসে সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা ৪০ ডিগ্রি হতে পারে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। উত্তর-পশ্চিম ভারতের কিছু অংশকে প্রভাবিত করে পশ্চিমী ঝঞ্ঝার কারণে মে মাসের প্রথমার্ধে তাপপ্রবাহের অবস্থা মাঝারি ছিল। পশ্চিমী ঝঞ্ঝার সম্ভাবনার কারণে আগামী ৭ দিন সেখানে কোনো তাপপ্রবাহের সম্ভাবনা নেই। হরিয়ানা, দক্ষিণ হরিয়ানা, দিল্লি এনসিআর, পশ্চিম উত্তর প্রদেশ এবং উত্তর-পূর্ব রাজস্থানের উপর দিয়ে ধুলো বাতাস বইছে। এর পিছনে প্রধান কারণ হল পশ্চিমী ঝঞ্ঝা পার হয়ে যাওয়ায় প্রবল বাতাস বইছে।
