শুক্রবার মনোনয়ন পত্র জমা দিলেন অমিত শাহ (Amit Shah)। শুক্রবার গুজরাটের (Gujarat) গান্ধীনগর (Gandhinagar) থেকে মনোনয়ন পত্র জমা দেন অমিত শাহ। দেশের বিভিন্ন রাজ্যে যখন লোকসভা নির্বাচনের প্রথম দফা চলছে, সেই সময় গুজরাটের গান্ধীনগর থেকে মনোনয়ন পত্র জমা দেন বিজেপির এই প্রথম সারির নেতা। যে আসন থেকে অটল বিহারী বাজপায়ী, এল কে আডবাণীর মত নেতাদের উপহার দিয়েছে, সেখানে মনোনয়ন জমা দেওয়া তাঁর কাছে গর্বের মুহূর্ত বলেও মন্তব্য করেন শাহ। প্রসঙ্গত, গত ৩০ বছর ধরে গান্ধীনগরের সাংসদ হিসেবে নির্বাচিত হচ্ছেন বিজেপির এই প্রথম সারির নেতা। এবারও তার অন্যথা হয়নি। শুক্রবার ১২.৩৯ মিনিটে গুজরাটের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ভূপেন্দ্র প্যাটেলের সঙ্গে নিজের মনোনয়ন পত্র জমা দেন বিজেপি নেতা।
