শ্রীলঙ্কার প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পদ থেকে ইস্তফা দিলেন মাহিন্দা রাজাপক্ষে(Mahinda Rajapaksa Resigns)। প্রায় মাস দুয়েক  ধরে শ্রীলঙ্কায় আর্থিক সংকট চলছে। ঋণের ভারে জর্জরিত সরকার দেশবাসীর দুঃ সময়ে কিছুই করতে পারছে না। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে প্রথমে মাটি কামড়ে পড়ে থেকে অবস্থা সামাল দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করেও ব্যর্থ হলেন মাহিন্দা রাজাপক্ষে। শেষমেশ তাঁকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী পদ থেকে সরে দাঁড়াতেই হল।
