এক সপ্তাহ ধরে অব্যাত ইজরায়েল হামারের সংঘর্ষ (Israel-Hamas War)। প্যালেস্তাইনের জঙ্গি সংগঠন হামাসের হামলার পালটা বেঞ্জামিন নেতানিয়াহুর হামলায় হামাস ঘাঁটি গাজা ব্যাপক ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ। যুদ্ধে বলি হওয়া সাধারণ গাজা বাসিন্দাদের সুরক্ষিত ভাবে দক্ষিণাঞ্চলে সরে যাওয়ার নির্দেশ আগেই দিয়েছিল ইজরায়েল। এবার সেই লক্ষ্যেই, ইজরায়েলি সামরিক বাহিনী উত্তর গাজায় একটি নিরাপদ করিডোর খুলেছে। যাতে বাসিন্দাদের সমুদ্রতীরবর্তী অঞ্চলে অর্থাৎ দক্ষিণ অংশে নিরাপদে সরে যেতে পারেন। এক্স হ্যান্ডেল থেকে ইজরায়েলি সামরিক বাহিনী জানিয়েছে, আইডিএফ সকাল ১০ টা থেকে দুপুর ১ টা পর্যন্ত এই করিডোরে কোন অভিযান চালাবে না। তার মধ্যেই গাজ়া ভূখণ্ডের তুলনামূলক নিরাপদ স্থানে চলে যাওয়ার জন্য সেখানকার বাসিন্দাদের অনুরোধ জানিয়েছে ইজরায়েলের সেনা।
