অস্ট্রেলিয়ান ওপেনে (Australian Open 2022) মহিলাদের সিঙ্গলসের সেমিফাইনালে উঠলেন পোল্যান্ডের ইগা সোয়াইটেক (Iga Świątek)। এস্তোনিয়ার কায়াই কানেপিকে ৪-৬, ৭-৬, ৬-৩ হারিয়ে প্রথমবার অজি ওপেনের শেষ চারে গেলেন সোয়াইটেক। ২০০০ সালে ফরাসি ওপেন জিতে চমকে দিয়েছিলেন তিনি।
শেষ চারে আমেরিকা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ড্যানিয়েলে কলিন্সের বিরুদ্ধে খেলবেন সোয়াইটেক। দ্বিতীয় কোয়ার্টার ফাইনালে কলিন্স ৭-৫, ৬-১ -কে হারান আলিজে করনেট।
