উত্তর সিকিমে (North Sikkim) ভয়াবহ দুর্ঘটনা। শুক্রবার উত্তর সিকিমের জেমায় ভয়াবহ দুর্ঘটনার জেরে পরপর ১৬ জন সেনা কর্মী নিহত হন। যাঁদের মধ্যে ৩ সেনা অফিসার রয়েছেন বলে খবর। আহত আরও ৪ জন। উত্তর সিকিমের জেমা দিয়ে যখন সেনা কর্মীদের (Indian Army) একটি ট্রাক আসছিল, তখন তার চাকা পিছলে দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে বলে সেনা বাহিনী সূত্রে খবর। উত্তর সিকিমে গাড়ি দুর্ঘটনায় ১৬ জন সেনা জওয়ানের মৃত্যুতে শোক প্রকাশ করেন প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রী রাজনাথ সিং (Rajnath Singh)। উত্তর সিকিমের দুর্ঘটনায় গভীর শোকাহত বলে জানান প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রী। মৃতদের পরিবারের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানান প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রী। পাশাপাশি যে সেনা জওয়ানরা আহত, তাঁরা যাতে শিগগিরই সুস্থ হয়ে ওঠেন, সেই আশা প্রকাশ করেন রাজনাথ সিং।
