মেঘভাঙ্গা বৃষ্টিতে নিত্যদিন ধসের মুখে পড়তে হচ্ছে উত্তরাখণ্ডকে (Uttarakhand)। ভারি থেকে অতি ভারি বৃষ্টির কথা ঘোষণা করে ১৩ এবং ১৪ অগাস্ট আবহাওয়া দফতরের তরফে লাল সতর্কতা জারি করা হয়েছিল সে রাজ্যে। সেই অবিরাম বৃষ্টির জেরে ধসে গেল মালদেবতার দেরাদুন (Dehradun) ডিফেন্স কলেজের সুবিশাল ভবনটি।
