Arrested: মদ্যপ চালকের গাড়ির ধাক্কায় মৃত্যু অধ্যাপকের, গ্রেফতার যুবক
গাড়ির চালকের মেডিক্যাল পরীক্ষা করে জানা গিয়েছে দুর্ঘটনার সময় তিনি মদ্যপ অবস্থায় ছিলেন।
নয়াদিল্লি: পালঘরে (Palghar) মদ্যপান করে গাড়ি চালাচ্ছিলেন এক যুবক, নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে তিনি কলেজ অধ্যাপককে ধাক্কা দেন। ঘটনায় অধ্যাপকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। শুক্রবার গাড়ির চালককে গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ। সূত্রে খবর, প্রফেসর আত্মজা কাসাট সারাদিনের কাজ শেষে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন, বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ৬টার দিকে অরনালায় একটি গাড়ি তাঁকে ধাক্কা দেয়। তিনি গুরুতর আহত হন এবং তাঁকে দ্রুত হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় কিন্তু কয়েক ঘন্টা মধ্যে তাঁর হাসপাতালে মৃত্যু হয়।
গাড়ির চালকের মেডিক্যাল পরীক্ষা করে জানা গিয়েছে দুর্ঘটনার সময় তিনি মদ্যপ অবস্থায় ছিলেন। তাঁকে ভারতের নতুন আইনের অধীনে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে।
