মঙ্গলবার প্রয়াত হয়েছেন কেরালার প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ওমেন চন্ডি। বুধবার তাঁর দেহ নিয়ে আসা হবে তাঁর নিজের পৈতৃক বাড়িতে। কেরালা সরকারের তরফে প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর মৃত্যুতে ২ দিনের শোকজ্ঞাপন করার কথা ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।তার আগে বাড়িতে চলছে প্রস্তুতি।
বেশ কিছুদিন ধরেই অসুস্থ ছিলেন প্রাক্তন মুখ্য়মন্ত্রী। তবে শারিরীক অবস্থার অবনতি হওয়ায় তাকে একটি বেসরকারী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছিল। সেখানে তিনি শেষ নিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন।
