বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধে থেকেই দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে সক্রিয় রয়েছে ভারতীয় এয়ার ডিফেন্স সিস্টেমগুলি। ইতিমধ্যেই জম্মু-কাশ্মীর ও রাজস্থানে সফলভাবে প্রতিহত করা হয়েছে পাক সেনার তরফ থেকে এয়ার স্ট্রাইকগুলি। রাতের দিকে পাঠানকোটে (Pathankot) আবার হামলা রুখল পাকিস্তানের বিমান হামলা। জানা যাচ্ছে, পাকিস্তানের এফ-১৬ যুদ্ধবিমানকে সফলভাবে আটকালো ভারতীয় এয়ার ডিফেন্স সিস্টেম। যদিও পাক সেনাকে আটক করা হয়েছে কিনা, সেই বিষয়ে এখনও কিছু জানা যায়নি।
