আজ সকালে কর্ণাটক ও তামিলনাড়ুতে ভূমিকম্প অনুভূত হয়েছে।ন্যাশনাল সেন্টার ফর সিসমোলজির তথ্য অনুসারে আজ (৮ ডিসেম্বর শুক্রবার) সকাল ৬টা ৫২ মিনিটে কর্ণাটকের বিজয়পুরায় ভূমিকম্প হয়। রিখটার স্কেলে ভূমিকম্পের তীব্রতা মাপা হয়েছে ৩.১। একই সময়ে, তামিলনাড়ুর চেঙ্গলপাট্টুতেও সকাল ৭.৩৯ মিনিটে ভূমিকম্প হয়। এখানে ভূমিকম্পের তীব্রতা মাপা হয়েছে ৩.২।
কিছুক্ষণ আগে দেশের পশ্চিমের রাজ্য গুজরাটেও ভূমিকম্প অনুভূত হয়েছে। সকাল ৯টা নাগাদ কেঁপে ওঠে গুজরাটের রাজকোট শহর। রিখটার স্কেলে এর মাত্রা ছিল ৩.৯। দেশের পশ্চিম কোণের মত পূর্বদিকের রাজ্য মেঘালয়ের শিলং শহরেও ভূমিকম্প টের পাওয়া গেছে। এখানে তীব্রতা ছিল ৩.৮।
