মধ্যরাতে নেপালের পর ভোরবেলা কেঁপে উঠল প্রতিবেশী দেশ পাকিস্তানও। শুক্রবার ভোর ৫.১৪ নাগাদ কেঁপে ওঠে পাকিস্তান, রিখটার স্কেলে কম্পনের মাত্রা ছিল ৪.৫। তবে ভূমিকম্পের ফলে এখনও পর্যন্ত কোনো হতাহতের বা বড় কোনও ক্ষয়ক্ষতির খবর পাওয়া যায়নি। মতে ভূ-পৃষ্ঠ থেকে এ ভূমিকম্পের গভীরতা ছিল ১০ কিলোমিটার। ভূমিকম্পটির কেন্দ্রস্থল ছিল পাকিস্তান, আফগানিস্তান এবং তাজিকিস্তানের সীমান্তবর্তী অঞ্চলে। কম্পনের ফলে স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের মধ্যে আতঙ্ক ছড়িয়ে পড়ে, সতর্কতামূলক ব্যবস্থা হিসেবে তারা বাড়ি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসেন।
