নিউইয়র্কে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে মাতা কি চৌকি (Mata ki Chowki ) অনুষ্ঠান। সেই অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে আমন্ত্রিত ছিলেন নিউ ইয়র্কের মেয়র এরিক অ্যাডাম। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ডেপুটি কমিশনার অফ ইন্টারন্যাশন্যাল অ্যাফেয়ার দিলীপ চৌহান।
২২ শে জানুয়ারী রাম মন্দিরের উদ্বোধন উপলক্ষ্যে নিউ ইয়র্কের মেয়র এরিক অ্যাডাম জানান, "আমরা যদি নিউইয়র্কে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের দিকে লক্ষ্য রাখি তাহলে এটা খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এটা তাদেরকে একটা উদযাপনের সুযোগ দেয় এবং তাদের আধ্যাত্বিকতাকে আরও তুলে ধরে।"
মাতা কি চৌকি অনুষ্ঠানে অতিথিদের স্বাগত জানান সেখানকার পুরোহিতরা। দিলীপ চৌহানকে আরতিও করতে দেখা যায়।
