ইন্দোনেশিয়ায় লাগাতার অগ্নুৎপাতের ফলে অন্ততঃ ১০ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। আগ্নেয়গিরির গলিত লাভা স্রোতে আশেপাশের গ্রামের বেশ কিছু বাড়ি পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে যায়। ফ্লোরেন্স দ্বীপের দক্ষিণ পূর্বাঞ্চলে অবস্থিত লাকি-লাকি আগ্নেয়গিরি গতকাল মধ্যরাতে হঠাৎই জেগে ওঠায় একাধিকবার ওই অঞ্চলে ভূকম্পন অনুভূত হয়। ওই এলাকায় আবারো ভূমিকম্প হতে পারে বলে সতর্ক করেছে সরকার। লাকি-লাকি আগ্নেয়গিরিটি রবিবার মধ্যরাতের কয়েক মিনিট আগে অগ্ন্যুৎপাত শুরু করে। প্রায় ২০০০ মিটার উঁচুতে জ্বলন্ত লাল লাভা, ছাই এবং গলিত শিলা ছড়ানোর ছবি সামনে আসে। উল্লেখ্য, গতবছর সুমাত্রায় মাউন্ট মারাপি-তে অগ্নুৎপাতের ফলে ২০ জনের’ও বেশী মানুষ প্রাণ হারান।
