চিলিতে ফের বড় মাপের ভূমিকম্প। রবিবার দক্ষিণ আমেরিকার এই ছোট্ট দেশটি ৫.৯ মাত্রার ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্পে কেঁপে উঠল। কানেতের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমের ৫২ কিমি গভীরে ছিল ভূমিকম্পটির উৎসস্থল। মার্কিন ভূমিকম্প তথ্য সংস্থা রিপোর্টে উঠে এলো এমনই। কম্পনের আতঙ্কে চিলির সাধারণ মানুষ ঘর থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে। এখনো পর্যন্ত হতাহতের কোনো খবর নেই।
প্রসঙ্গত, দুনিয়ার সবচেয়ে ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্পগুলির বেশিরভাগই হয়েছে চিলিতে।
