কলকাতাঃ সোম সকালেও অব্যাহত বৃষ্টি। গাঙ্গেয় পশ্চিমবঙ্গে নিম্নচাপের কারণে প্রবল বৃষ্টি বাংলার বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে। আর এই বৃষ্টির জেরে জলমগ্ন রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন অংশ। গঙ্গা সহ বহু নদীর জলস্তর বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। এই তালিকায় রয়েছে পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের শিলাবতী নদী। নিম্নচাপের জেরে ছাপিয়েছে শিলাবতী। জল ঢুকছে গ্রামে। যার জেরে মাথায় হাত পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরবাসীদের। নদীর জল ঢুকে নষ্ট হয়ে গিয়েছে চাষের জিনিস। ক্ষতক্ষতির অঙ্কটা বিশাল। এভাবে বৃষ্টি চলতে থাকলে আরও ক্ষয়ক্ষতির আশঙ্কা।
