হলদিয়া-মেচেদা রাজ্য সড়কে ভয়াবহ দুর্ঘটনা। দীঘা থেকে কলকাতায় ফেরার পথে একটি সরকারী বাস (SBSTC Bus)-কে ধাক্কা মারে এক তেলের ট্য়াঙ্কার। জখম হন কমপক্ষে ২৭ জন। তাদের তাম্রলিপ্ত মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
সিগন্যালের কারণে সরকারী বাসটি জাতীয় সড়কে রামতরকের কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিল। নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে বাসটিকে ধাক্কা মারে তেলের ট্যাঙ্কারটি।
