তৃণমূলে যোগ দিলেন উত্তরপ্রদেশের দুই কংগ্রেস নেতা। তাঁরা হলেন রাজেশপতি ত্রিপাঠি (Rajesh Pati Tripathi) ও ললিতেশপতি ত্রিপাঠি (Lalitesh Pati Tripathi)। শিলিগুড়িতে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ও অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উপস্থিতিতে তাঁরা তৃণমূলে যোগ দেন।
