রাত পোহালেই বাংলার ৮টি কেন্দ্রে চতুর্থ দফার নির্বাচন (Lok Sabha Elections 2024)। যার মধ্যে অন্যতম পশ্চিম বর্ধমানের আসানসোল কেন্দ্র। একদিকে বিজেপির প্রার্থী সুরিন্দর আলুওয়ালিয়া অন্যদিকে তৃণমূলের তরফে দাড়িয়েছেন বলিউড অভিনেতা শত্রুঘ্ন সিনহা। লড়াই যে হাড্ডাহাড্ডি হবে তা আর বলার অপেক্ষা রাখে না। আর এই নির্বাচনকে কেন্দ্র করে পুলিশি তৎপরতা দেখা গেল ঝাড়খণ্ড এবং আসানসোলের সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকায়। কড়া নজরদারিতে তল্লাশি অভিযান চানাচ্ছে পুলিশ প্রশাসন।
