প্রেসিডেন্সি জেলে আনা হল সন্দীপ ঘোষ (Sandip Ghosh) এবং অভিজিৎ মণ্ডলকে। শিয়ালদহ আদালত থেকে সন্দীপ ঘোষ এবং অভিজিৎ মণ্ডলকে বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় প্রেসিডেন্সি জেলে নিয়ে আসা হয়। আরজি করে (RG Kar) চিকিৎসক ধর্ষণ, খুন-কাণ্ডে (Doctor Death) সম্প্রতি গ্রেফতার করা হয় সন্দীপ ঘোষ এবং টালা থানার ওসি অভিজিৎ মণ্ডলকে। সন্দীপ ঘোষকে আগে আরজি করে দুর্নীতির অভিযোগে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। পরে চিকিৎসক ধর্ষণ, খুন-কাণ্ডে তথ্য প্রমাণ লোপাটের অভিযোগে ফের গ্রেফতার করা হয় প্রাক্তন অধ্যক্ষকে। গত ৯ অগাস্টের আরজি কর-কাণ্ডে উত্তাল হয়ে উঠতে শুরু করে গোটা রাজ্য।
