এবার তৃণমূলকে নিয়ে কড়া সমালোচনা করলেন বিজেপি নেতা তাপস রায় (Tapas Roy)। তিনি এদিন বলেন, প্রতিটি বাঙালির মতো আমিও চাই যে বাংলা যেন তৃণমূল মুক্ত হয়। এতে আদপে বাঙালিদেরই সাহায্য হবে। বাংলার প্রমাণ ও উন্নয়নে সাহায্য করবে। শিক্ষা, শিল্প, সবেতেই উন্নতি করবে। ফলে দ্রুত বাংলা থেকে তৃণমূলকে সরাতে হবে। তৃণমূল থাকলে বাংলা কখনই উন্নত করবে না। বিগত ১৪ বছর ধরে আমরা এটাই লক্ষ্য করছি।
