নিয়োগ, দুর্নীতির অভিযোগ-সহ একাধিক দাবিতে কলকাতা পুরসভা ঘেরাও করল ডিওয়াইএফআই ও বেশকিছু বাম ছাত্র সংগঠন (DYFI Gherao KMC)। এই ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে রণক্ষেত্রের চেহারা নেয় ধর্মতলা চত্বর। পুলিশের ব্যারিকেড ভেঙে পুরসভার দিকে এগোতে শুরু করেন মীনাক্ষী মুখোপাধ্যায়-সহ অন্য বাম ছাত্র-যুব নেতৃত্ব। তাঁদের বাধা দেয় পুলিশ। পুলিশের সঙ্গে ধস্তাধস্তিতে জড়িয়ে পড়েন আন্দোলনকারীরা।
