শুক্রবার পুরুলিয়া শহরের রাঁচি রোড এলাকা থেকে ওই বিপুল সমর্থকদের নিয়ে মহিষের পিঠে চড়ে জেলাশাসকের কাছে নিজের মনোনয়ন জমা দেন আদিবাসী কুড়মি সমাজের মূল উপদেষ্টা অজিত।
মহিষ, ভেড়া ছুটিয়ে এক হাজারেরও বেশি সমর্থক নিয়ে মনোনয়ন জমা দিতে গেলেন পুরুলিয়া লোকসভা কেন্দ্রের আদিবাসী কুড়মি সমাজের নির্দল প্রার্থী অজিত প্রসাদ মাহাতো (Ajit Prasad Mahato)। মনোনয়ন জমা দেওয়ার এমন অভিনব পদযাত্রা আগে দেখেনি কেউ। শুক্রবার পুরুলিয়া শহরের রাঁচি রোড এলাকা থেকে ওই বিপুল সমর্থকদের নিয়ে মহিষের পিঠে চড়ে জেলাশাসকের কাছে নিজের মনোনয়ন জমা দেন আদিবাসী কুড়মি সমাজের মূল উপদেষ্টা অজিত। সমর্থকদের উচ্ছ্বাস ছিল বাঁধ ভাঙা।
