Weightlifting World Championships: বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে রুপো জিতলেন ভারতের তারকা ভারোত্তোলক মীরাবাই চানু
ভারতীয় তারকা ভারোত্তোলক মীরাবাই চানু (Mirabai Chanu) বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের ৪৮ কেজি বিভাগে রৌপ্য পদক জিতেছেন। এই পদক জয়ের মধ্য দিয়েই তার উজ্জ্বল রেকর্ডকে আরও কিছুটা বাড়িয়ে নিলেন চানু। উল্লেখ্য এর আগেও দুবার বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের মঞ্চে ছিলেন ভারতীয় তারকা।
২০১৭ সালের বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়ন এবং ২০২২ সালের রৌপ্যপদকজয়ী মীরা মোট ১৯৯ কেজি (স্ন্যাচে ৮৪ কেজি + ক্লিন অ্যান্ড জার্কে ১১৫ কেজি) উত্তোলন করে পদকজয়ীদের মধ্যে স্থান করে নিয়েছেন। তবে সাধারণত ৪৯ কেজি বিভাগে তাঁকে দেখা যায় কিন্তু সেখান থেকে ৪৮ কেজি বিভাগে তাঁকে লড়াই করতে দেখা যায়। চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ের ম্যাচে চানুকে স্ন্যাচে লড়াই করতে হয়। ৮৭ কেজিতে দুবার ব্যর্থ হলেও, ক্লিন অ্যান্ড জার্কে তার ছন্দ ফিরে পেয়েছিলেন, তিনটি প্রচেষ্টাই সফলভাবে সম্পাদন করেছিলেন।
