এশিয়ান গেমসে (Asian Games 2003) জ্যাভলিন থ্রোতে সোনা জিতেছেন নীরজ চোপড়া। দ্বিতীয় হয়ে রূপোর পদক (silver medal) জিতেছেন কিশোর জেনা (Kishore Jena)। বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় এই খবর পাওয়ার পরেই ওড়িশার হয়ে ভারতীয় দলে থাকা কিশোর জেনাকে দেড় কোটি টাকা নগদ পুরস্কার (cash reward) দেওয়ার কথা ঘোষণা করলেন ওড়িশার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নবীন পট্টনায়েক (Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik)।
