বৃহস্পতিবার ইডেনে শ্রীলঙ্কাকে চার উইকেটে হারাল ভারত। এই জয়ে ভারত ২-০ ব্যবধানে এগিয়ে যায় এবং তিন ম্যাচের সিরিজ নিশ্চিত করে। ২১৬ রানের লক্ষ্য তাড়া করতে নেমে কে এল রাহুলের (KL Rahul) ১০৩ বলে ৬৪ রানের অপরাজিত ইনিংস খেলে ৪৩.২ ওভারে ৬ উইকেটে ২১৯ রান তোলে স্বাগতিকরা। এদিকে চামিক করুনারত্নে (Chamika Karunaratne) ও লাহিরু কুমারা (Lahiru Kumara) দুটি করে উইকেট নেন। শুরুতে নুয়ানিদু ফার্নান্দো'র (Nuwanidu Fernando) হাফ সেঞ্চুরিতে ৩৯.৪ ওভারে ২১৫ রান তোলে শ্রীলঙ্কা। ভারতের হয়ে তিনটি করে উইকেট নেন মহম্মদ সিরাজ (Mohammed Siraj) ও কুলদীপ যাদব (Kuldeep Yadav)।
