নতুন কেনা পোষ্য কুকুরছানার হামলায় মৃত ১৭ মাসের শিশুকন্যা। মর্মান্তিক ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ইংল্যান্ডের সেন্ট হেলেন্সে। মৃত শিশুকন্যার নাম বেলা রে বির্চ (Bella-Rae Birch )। সপ্তাহ খানেক আগেই কুকুর ছানাটিকে কিনে আনেন শিশুটির বাবা-মা। গত সোমবার বিকেল তিনটে বেজে ৫০ মিনিট নাগাদ আচমকাই পোষ্যটি বেলার উপরে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ে আঁচড়ে কামড়ে দেয়। ঘটনাটি জানাজানি হতেই বিষের পরিষেবার মাধ্যমে গুরুতর আহত বলাকে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। তবে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থাতেই তার মৃত্যু হয়েছে। হতভাগ্য বাবা-মা ঘাতক পোষ্যকে পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দিয়েচে। এই কুকুরের পূর্ববর্তী মালিককে খুঁজে বের করার চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে পুলিশ।
