সনাতন ধর্মাবলম্বীদের জন্য একটি পবিত্র তিথি বৈশাখী পূর্ণিমা (Vaishakh Purnima 2025)। অন্যদিকে বৌদ্ধধর্মাবলম্বীদের প্রধান ধর্মীয় উৎসব শুভ বুদ্ধপূর্ণিমা (Buddha Purnima 2025) আজ। বৌদ্ধধর্মমতে, প্রায় আড়াই হাজার বছর আগে এই দিনে মহামতি গৌতম বুদ্ধ আবির্ভূত হয়েছিলেন। গৌতম বুদ্ধের শুভ জন্ম, বোধিজ্ঞান ও মহাপরিনির্বাণ লাভ—এই তিন স্মৃতিবিজড়িত বৈশাখী পূর্ণিমা বিশ্বের বৌদ্ধ সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে বুদ্ধপূর্ণিমা নামে পরিচিত।বৌদ্ধ ধর্মের পাশাপাশি হিন্দু ধর্মেও আলাদা গুরুত্ব রয়েছে এই বৈশাখী পূর্ণিমার। এইদিনে পবিত্র স্থানে পুণ্য স্নান করে পূজা ও প্রার্থনা করেন ভক্তরা।
