রেশন দুর্নীতি মামলায় গ্রেফতার হওয়া মন্ত্রী জ্যোতিপ্রিয় মল্লিক চিকিৎসার জন্য এসএসকেএম হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হওয়ার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করলেন। দেহের বা দিকের অংশে অচলাবস্থা থাকার কারণে এসএসকেএম হাসপাতালে থেকে চিকিৎসার করানোর কথা জানান বর্তমান বনমন্ত্রী ও তৎকালীন খাদ্যমন্ত্রী জ্যোতিপ্রিয় মল্লিক।
রাজ্যের মন্ত্রী হিসেবে তাঁর রাজ্য সরকার পরিচালিত হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হওয়ার অধিকার রয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন তিনি। রেশনের কারচুপির অভিযোগে কিছুদিন আগে তাঁকে গ্রেফতার করে ইডি। তল্লাশি চালানো হয় রেশন দুর্নীতির সঙ্গে যুক্ত অন্যান্য সহযোগীদের বাড়িতেও।
