উত্তরপ্রদেশের নতুন ডিজিপি পদে নিযুক্ত হলেন বিজয় কুমার।১৯৮৮ ব্যাচের আইপিএস অফিসার তিনি। আর কে বিশ্বকর্মার স্থলভাষিক্ত হলেন বিজয় কুমার।এই নিয়ে তৃতীয়বার কোন স্থায়ী নয় কার্যকরী ডিজিপি পদে হিসেবে স্থলভাষিক্ত হবেন তিনি।
এর আগে আর কে বিশ্বকর্মাকেও কার্যকরী ডিজিপি হিসেবে নিযুক্ত করেছিল উত্তরপ্রদেশ সরকার।
